I created a "I Am Bored Jar"
I found a mason jar I had laying around in the kitchen and created this fun idea. I have named it "I Am Bored Jar" Are You Sure?
I filled it with treats and chores. Some of the treats include. Go for a walk with mom, play a card game with mom, watch a movie of your choice with mom. Some of the chores included; Dust the living room, sweep the front porch.
So if my son comes to me and tells me he is bored he must pick from the bored jar. What ever he pulls out he must do. No more trying to figure out what to do. It is all in a jar. My hope is that it will help him in learning new way to entertain himself while also spending one on one time with me. I hope this will help with those horrible Summer Boredom Blues. What do you think?
I like it. I always tell my kids if they are bored I can find them something to do. (chores) You would not believe how fast they find something else to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! Need one of these for our home. As the saying goes... If I had a nickel for every time I heard "I'm bored"...
ReplyDeleteThis is really neat. It's definitely a fun alternative to listening to the kids whine about being bored. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun idea and we'll have to copy this. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I think I might have to use that this summer if I hear those dreaded words.
