Meal planning Monday is the best way to start off your week. You will know in advance what is for dinner and what you will need to take out to thaw or just make sure you have. It is a great way to use what you have in the house to keep your expensive down for the week. My favorite part is when the kids ask what is for dinner I actually know the answer and I am not trying to figure out what I am going to whip up. This also helps keep down the cost of going out to dinner, you are prepared for what need to be cooked. So on to my meal planning for the week.
Monday - Grouper with Scalloped Potatoes and mixed vegetables
Tuesday - Not your Mothers Tuna Bake! served over white rice
Wednesday - Pork Chops & Mashed Potatoes with green beans
Thursday - Shrimp Fried Rice
Friday - Quiche (have never made one but there is a first for everything)
Saturday - Army Pot Pie (aka enough to feed a army)
Yes I said Not your Mothers Tuna Bake. You can find the recipe below. This one will cause you to have to think out of your box. But it is very tasty.
