Launched
in 1996 this free site has dedicated its time in fine tuning one of the
best personalized elf assisted Santa letter response systems on the
internet. Thousands of letters from around the globe find their way to
Santa's special inbox each year and every one of them are personally
responded to by Santa with the assistance of dozens of elves. Whether a
new born or a great grandmother, all letters receive special attention
and painstaking care to ensure safety and smiles are delivered.
Opening day of the season finds elves from around the world gathered in
the Elf Lodge eagerly anticipating the arrival of the first letters.
Over the course of the next month and a half, thousands of letters from
classes, adults, children and even a few from some amazingly dexterous pets find its way to Santa. The action comes to an end on
Christmas Eve around 12 pm Eastern time, when Santa becomes too involved
with jumping down chimneys delivering smiles and hugs.
Letters are only the frosting on this site that has grown to contain
one of the most extensive on line Christmas song locators. The Christmas
story section grows constantly each year providing countless hours of
reading for all ages. A slowly growing international section providing a
look into Christmas customs around the globe is a favorite stop for
many browsing the site. Safety section, holiday tips, children's section
are but more reasons to stop by and let Santa know what you have been
wanting for Christmas! Santa never makes promises about what will be
under the tree, so the secret is always safe!
With all the
things to do and smiles that can be found at SantaSearch.org, one of the
newer projects that has grown in leaps and bounds is the Operation
Santa Search (OSS) section. Providing a plethora of information for
families that may need a helping hand during the holiday season, OSS is a
growing database of charities, goodwill centers, food drives and food
banks to mention a few. Friends passing by sometimes send information
that is readily added about a local Christmas collection center in their
area. Like the rest of the site, OSS is manned by a team of elves
specially trained to assist those who are unable to find what they are
in need of.
So come on by and help us celebrate our season of
Christmas magic. Bring the entire family. Sing a few carols, read a few
stories and browse the site. The site is 100 percent free and waiting to
put a smile on many faces. And remember – you are never too old to
write to Santa at www.santasearch.org
