Today I Am A Proud Future Army Soldier Mom

Today my son spent the day at MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) he is officially a future Army Solider. Today I became a very proud future Army Mom. There is proud moments and some sad moments. Soon he will leave home and go on to be come a Solider. As a Mom I will worry while being very proud at the same time. I asked him why he wanted to join the Army. His answer was very simple. I want to serve and protect our country and our freedom. Tear flow down my face. Yes I am truly a very proud mom. To all the Men and Women who serve our country. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I thank you now just as I will thank my son.

For those that don't know the Soldiers Creed here it is.

I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.
