Zip 'n Hang Review & Giveaway

This is personally my favorite review I have done to date. I fell in love with the Zip 'n Hang when I received it to review. It was so versatile in its uses. 

What is the Zip ‘n Hang?

Zip ‘n Hang is the world’s first adjustable over-the-door hook that won’t damage your doors.  Other over-the-door hooks can scratch your door or even cause it not to close. Zip 'n Hang's patent-pending design uses flexible lines that go over the corners of your door quickly, easily, and with no tools required. With a push of a button, you can raise and lower your Zip 'n Hang to the desired height to decorate or organize. 

I could us it on my front door, my screen door, and I even tried it on my cabinet door. It gave me the chance to hang a wreath on one of my kitchen cabinets. I thought that was the best. I could spice up my cabinets with out having to put a hole with a nail or sticky tape. There was no chance in wrecking my cabinets. The possibilities for holiday decorating is endless in my mind. The things I could do to add decorations to everything. 

This product was so simple to use. All you do is pull the two invisible loops over each top corner of any door and adjust the hook to any height. Then hang what you want. That simple.

Are you wondering why someone would come up with this idea. Well Dorota the inventor said, A few years ago, right after installing a beautiful new front door for our house, I wanted to hang my wreath.  Since the door had glass panels in the middle, it wasn’t possible to use a nail.  I bought a suction cup hanger, and it fell off.  Adhesive hooks won’t hold the weight and I worried about them ruining the door.  Most of the U-shaped over-the door hooks wouldn’t allow my door to close and the one that was thin enough to finally close scratched up the top of my door frame (and I didn’t like the way it looked).  In all that frustration, I knew there had to be a better way, so I pulled out my fishing line and started experimenting until I figured out a way to hang the wreath by just draping the fishing line over the corners of the door.  Soon I was looking at everyone’s front doors and realized that I had to make this into a product so that everyone else could also easily hang things off their doors.

How are you selling the product?

The product is currently sold on the Zip ‘n Hang website at www.zipnhang.com.  We made sure it is a secure site and never share email addresses with anyone since I hate to be put on a list just for buying a product.  In addition we’re working to get it into some fall catalogs and have a retail group that I partially licensed the product to in order to bring it to big box retailers this fall and in 2012.  So right now we are spreading the word via grassroots efforts, but hope word gets around so that people know that a product like this exists and will be excited to see it in stores.  We have also set up a Facebook page for the product where we share periodic updates as to where the product is featured and how the whole process is coming along (www.facebook.com/zipnhang).
